Strength. Empathy. Thoughtfulness. Health.
I have suffered from imposter syndrome many times in my life. Each time I was depressed and conflicted, not feeling worthy of others love and friendship. Finally, I decided to create a credo, a mantra, a core ethos to guide me in life and have a personal north star. After much success with this framework, I want to share it with you so that maybe it can help others suffering as well.
Strength
Check-in with your strength mentally and physically. Our physical and mental strength dictates satisfaction levels. Be motivated. Complete work and jobs to the highest level possible. If we can be strong and disciplined in our daily lives then accomplishment and joy will follow.
Empathy
Think about your network of friends and acquaintances. Do they know how you are feeling? Do they know how much you care for them. It's very likely they have also been through this issue. Make a deeper connection and reach out.
Thoughtfulness
Do some kindness in the world. Be altruistic. Act altruistic. Do something because the community or person needs it, not for what you will get out if it. Joy comes from selflessness.
Health
Mental health and physical health together are the core of the mind / body connection which is what delivers an exponential factor of satisfaction. Be aware of how one is affecting the other. Rarely are these both in alignment, but when you regularly check in on the balance between the two, many times people find poor health in one area deeply hurts the other.
